West Horndon Village Hall 2024

The Chairman of the West Horndon village hall reached out to me with the idea of them wanting a new logo as they were deciding to revamp the website and wanted something new.

Through talking to them and sending a couple of different ideas and sketches, we whittled it down to having some flowers in the centre with the text around the middle. 

We also discussed having things like the building or different symbols; however, through having large floral displays each year, they decided that this was a good route. 

They gave me freedom on the flowers; however liked the idea of having one colour palette with the green added in as a pop and proposed the idea of going for purple.

I used Pro Create on the iPad to draw the flowers to try and give them a watercolour effect and then took it into InDesign to add the text.

We also discussed the different font options however, they liked the classic feel along with somthing legibal and easy to read.
